On a blog posting roll here...

The Pearl Street Mile was on July 31 and we had quite the crew running in the race this year. KC and I ran together (and with her help we thoroughly beat my goal of running faster than last year; we finished in 8:44 - yea!) and then Ryan and Scott ran in the competitive males wave.

Double fisting it with water to celebrate. It was um, hot, really really really hot that day. Fortunately the clouds rolled in so the 100 degree temp didn't feel quite so bad by race time:


Scott, running like lightening as usual and then below, our friend Kevin came to cheer us on...sadly Kevin left in his moving van this morning for San Diego. We'll miss him!



We had our friends KC and Ryan over to grill some chicken and tofu...and clearly we hadn't used the grill in a LONG time because look at what we found on the right side of the grill lid:


We took these pictures from a distance using the zoom feature, don't worry. We still haven't decided exactly how to get rid of this beehive...any suggestions?

We said goodbye to Steve, Allie and twins Paige and Sarah this past week. We're pretty sad to see our good friends leave. :( Here's Scott with one last baby pose with Paige:

We dog sat for our friend Joe's dog Porter again recently Yes, Porter got out and loose on me again (this time he just slipped out of his collar and 1.5 hours later, I had him back on his leash...seriously, why does this only happen to me and not Scott??). Here's the big peacemaking moment of the weekend: Scott introduced Aspen and Porter, which went surprisingly well:

Our friend Becki is getting married in a week (August 9) and I spent a night at The Med restaurant in Boulder with some of her closest friends as a bachelorette kind of night. Here we all are adding flowers to our hair:
