Scott's Birthday and Cats

Better late than never we have some pictures from scott's birthday. The good news is there were presents for everyone. Sara got a fantasy football book:

Aspen and Millie got a new battery powered toy:

I even got a Caddy Shack board game:

and a book about the best places to stay in National Parks:

Afterwards everyone was pretty worn out.

That's not the only birthday news today. Pete Czerepak is 30 today.

When you're 30 candles just won't do anymore. Happy Birthday Pete.

MNF

We're going to MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!!!

It's pretty exciting, isn't it? We just got tickets online for the Broncos vs. Tennessee Titans on Monday, November 19. Let's hope it hasn't gotten too cold by then.

I've been doing a MNF dance all morning long.

Scott Turns 28 Today!

The cats are overjoyed about Scott's birthday - to celebrate, they agreed to pose together in one photo...not the easiest of tasks. They plan on continuing the celebrations all day long with some long naps, deep pondering of life, delicious snacks, etc. More photos to come!
Happy Birthday, Scotty!

Farm Photos Part II

A few more farm photos - these are from Jim & Rita. And a special addition - photos of J&R with Chad Pennington, an NFL quarterback with the NY Jets. You can imagine my jealousy. All of the photos can be found in this Snapfish album if you want to see more.

First, photos of the farm with the new log cabin, the round house, and the laundry room.

Peter and Jay (Aunt Julie's husband) working on making cheviche out of the fish Pete caught in Lake Sara.

Pete catching the fish.Looking full of joy as I toss flower petals in preparation of the flower toss as all family members drove off to various airports...apparently this is a farm ritual.

Chad grew up in Knoxville and was inducted into the Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame. I'd like to point out that I've never seen Rita looks as happy/giddy as in the photo with Chad. And I understand why. Love it.

Farm Photos

We are back from our Gore/Holladay/Whittier/Yockel/Czerepak reunion at the farm in Ohio. Aspen and Millie of course missed us greatly (or was it that I missed A&M greatly??) but seem to have done just fine here in Boulder without us.

Here are several pics from the weekend but if you want to see all of ours, click here for the link to the Snapfish album.

Photos from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio:

Photos from Amish country tour & shopping:

Farm photos including the family moving furniture to gazebo, Sara on bike, dinner & grilling on gazebo, and Mary Gore with bubbles:

And Pete fishing in Lake Sara:

Boise, camping and of course cats

While the cats were resting in the air conditioned house I was camping in the Sawtooth mountains, northeast of Boise.

Here's a view of the Sawtooth mountains from outside our campsite.

There was a snowmelt creek running by our campsite. With mountains in the background.

Like Lewis and Clark, Ethan and I rafted the river. Then we decided that was too much work, so we tied our raft to shore and floated.

Marc and Ethan the intrepid wilderness men.

They even made a fire from primitive tools.

As you can see we eventually started a fire.

The primitive tools might not have worked, but it only took one match. Mr. Watson would be proud.
