Millie tries to drink the milk out of my bowl during breakfast. It's a lot to deal with first thing in the morning, but Sara thought it was picture worthy.

Millie resting on my marathon gear the night before the race. She was hoping it would bring me luck. I'd hate to see what it would have been like without luck.
Millie and Aspen resting on top of the couch. Not sure they've picked up on the difference between Boulder and Brooklyn.

Aspen is camped out in the window waiting for a pigeon to get too close.
Millie hiding in a grocery bag.
Sara gives Millie a tour of the apartment in her box. She tolerated it, but no more.
Millie in another box.
Our cat food delivery sprung a leak. Fortunately Millie was willing to investigate the damage.
Aspen was pretending to rest with me, but he appears to have been trying to snatch my keys from my pocket and go out on the town.

Standing outside the inflation part Wednesday night. You can see the Macy's stars that led the parade over my shoulder.
Buzz light year. Gives you a sense of how far away we were from the real parade route.

Spider man. His first year in the parade and one of the first floats we saw.
A picture of one of the floats. From where we were standing they were a little harder to see.
Kermit. Sara's favorite float.
This picture of Kermit gives you a sense of how far away we were. The building on the left is the Trump Towers. If you lived there you'd have a sweet view of the parade.
Mickey Mouse dressed in a nautical theme. It was sponsored by the Disney cruise line. I know it's hard to belive, but it appears that Macy's sold out.
Snoopy dressed as a fighter pilot. This one is for Kylie.

A smurf. Most of the kids around us didn't know what this guy was. Very sad.
A shot of Santa. The final float of the parade. Everyone was ready to go home and have some coffee by the time we saw him, but I still felt a moment of Christmas spirit as I rushed to the subway.

Happy Bday to Grandpa & Cat Photos!

Happy 91st birthday, Grandpa! I wish that we were all there to celebrate with you again but I know you'll have a fun day with Grandma and Aunt Sue.

We took a 3-hour boat tour around Manhattan in September - here are a few shots.

Our friends Becki and Jody from Boulder were in town for a few hours so we walked on the Brooklyn Bridge for a little while:

And here's a little evidence that the cats are adjusting well to their new surroundings:

Good news from Boulder

Our realator was kind enough to send the only true evidence of a sale. The check cleared, but until I see a sold sign it doesn't mean much to me.

Moving across the great US of A

Ahh, the great road trip. We really are here in NYC - here's some photographic evidence.

First up: Kearney, Nebraska. This was the most exciting thing we saw all day.In case you were wondering how the cats fit into the car, here they are in the backseat...
That's Millie in there:
And Aspen in there (what a cute little face he has even when he's terrified)...
Windmills in Iowa:
Chicago skyline (probably taken while stuck in traffic):

More of Millie looking out the window (meanwhile Aspen was as far under the bed as possible):Welcome to the Jerz:
And now time to get nickeled and dimed at the Holland Tunnel as we make our way into the city:
Scott on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade on our first night, NYC skyline in the background:
Millie in one of her favorite spots in the new apartment, the bathroom sink:
Aspen has clearly adapted to the new surroundings since he's out for a lovefest with Scott:
Scott on the Staten Island ferry. Staten Island not so great but the ferry was lovely:
