Meeting Sarah and Paige

We met Steve and Allie's little twin girls this past weekend - they were born almost 6 weeks ago and are named Sarah and Paige.

Here's Sarah:

Sara's FF Article

I've got a fantasy football article up on Sports Grumblings - check it out! Fantasy Football Grumblings: Injury Woes.

We'll try to get the cats to do something photo worthy soon for another post. Shouldn't take long at all...

Valentine's Day Fleurs et Chats

Thanks, Dad, for the annual beautiful V-Day flowers. As you can see, we all appreciated them.

There's also a photo of my arm bruise thrown in there. In short, I acquired the bruise on my arm when I collided with a small child on the slopes on Saturday. My arm feels much better than my ribs do, so I can only imagine the internal lung or muscle damage I might have done - that little guy hit me hard! Yes, I'm being a little dramatic but sometimes I think that's necessary when a five-year-old clocks you.

And of course there are cat photos. Millie sleeping on my clean sweater that I spread out to dry (thanks, Mills) and other various cute moments for A&M.

Mary Gore in Florida

Here are some picture of Mary Gore in Florida visting Rick, Peter and Mimi.

Here they are on the Carrie B, a paddle boat that docks right outside Rick and Peter's apartment.

Ski Videos, Snow Videos and more cute photos

This is going to be a mammoth post. Prepare yourself for good stuff. Videos, photos, athletes in action (yes, we're the athletes). A little bit of everything...

We'll start with Scott at Snowmass with the mountains in his background.

Here are the famous (to some) Maroon Bells. They're 2 14,000 foot peaks just outside of Aspen.
More spectacular scenery from the top of Snowmass. You can see a long way.
Here's a wide angle shot of the Maroon Bells. Crested Butte is on the other side of the mountain, but its a long hard trip to get there that way.
Here's Sara at Aspen Highlands. Its a small steep resort right around the corner from the city of Aspen.
Here's Scott relaxing with Maggie after a hard day of skiing. Skiing for Scott, Doggie Day Care for Maggie. She said she met Don Johnson's dog.

Scott and Aspen before we hit the road to ski.Scott is one of the tiny ant-sized people down there. This is our first day up at Snowmass, one of the four mountains at Aspen. Sara and Mike's backside.
Sara after having taken a soft fall on lots of fresh powder.
Mike chatting on the phone during a brief slope break. Notice there's basically no one but us in these photos. Despite the amazing conditions, it was not crowded at all.
Here are some aspens in Aspen. No leaves in Feburary appartently.
Sara rocking it on the mountain.
Mike standing in the pownder after a good crash.
Scott on the lift. The beard is face insulation. Here are some videos of the drive over. As you can tell from Sara's voice over, it was a little harrowing.

Here's another drive video.

Here's a ski video of Sara. Its like an instructional video. Everyone can take a lesson from this. We're at Snowmass and the skiing was as good as we've ever seen.

Scott skiing (and falling) in the bumps. If you're not falling, you're not skiing.

One last ski video. Scott after that fall coming out of the bumps.

Golf Party, Hiking and Super Bowl

We're a week behind in getting blog posts up. Here are some pictures from last weekend. We'll add pictures and videos from our ski weekend at Aspen soon.

Here's the Super Bowl Party Pad. You can see we got our friend Mike's projector set up for our 200 inch screen.
The other side of our Super Bowl Party Pad. Yes, we had the Puppy Bowl on tv before the Super Bowl actually started.
Maggie and I checking out the viewing angles (Maggie being our friend Mike's dog that we get to dogsit for occassionally).
Aspen getting getting ready to hide under the bed once people come over.

Millie checking out the third failed football stadium cake.

We had to put newspaper up over our back porch door to make sure we had good enough light for the projector screen. Looked kind of shady from the outside. Our neighbors were probably wondering what we were doing inside. Until they heard the Super Bowl cheers of course.

Last weekend a couple of friends from Arlington were in town - here we are during an icy hike just outside of Denver: Justin, Sonya, Vic and Sara. And Sonya's dogs.
Take two with Justin, Sonya, Sara and Scott:
KC and our friend Beau turned 29 on February 1st and we celebrated with a little golf themed party. Good times were had (of course) and a mini golf course of sorts was set up inside KC's house. Here are KC, James Woody and Sara - a little Yorktown High School reunion.
And KC and Sara.
Ryan and KC.
The mini golf course getting set up and ready for players.
Scott with his golf glove.

Here Scott is holding Sasha, a notoriously less-than-friendly/skittish cat that is currently residing with KC and Ryan for the next few weeks. We are hoping that this will encourage them to get a cat of their own one of these days...Aspen checking out our various golf props for the party.
