Here are some pictures from my day in Frankfurt before I flew back to Denver. More picture coming soon.

Mercedes corporate HQ lit up at night.

Downtown Frankfurt from an old iron pedestrian bridge. Eiserner Steg (Iron Bridge) was built in 1869, but it's still going strong.

Another picture of the sky scrapers from the river.

Advertisements were all over town for the Colorado Fruhlingsfest. Which means spring festival. I'm not sure what that has to do with Colorado, but I wish I could have hung around to found out.

Pre-sunset picture.

The European central bank is in Frankfurt and they advertise with a giant Euro symbol.

The first of a series of pictures from the highest office building in Europe. It's 200 meters high and located in the middle of town there are some great views. From here you can see that most of the city looks pretty new.

A friendly American agreed to take my picture from the Main tower.

Here are some of the older looking buildings downtown.

The Euro symbol from the roof.

You can see the air pollution in this picture and the mountains in the background.

The hills/mountains in the background.

Air pollution and windmills in the distance.

A huge TV tower on the horizon.

You can see a plane taking off from the Frankfurt airport. It's not much higher than the building.

The river running through the middle of the city.

The building next door sure looks to be the same height or taller, but they don't have an observation deck and a page on wikipedia.

Some nuclear plant cooling towers in the distance. From the top of this building you can see windmills and nuclear plants.
The tower from the ground. It's pretty tall.

A park in the middle of downtown Frankfurt just below the Main Tower.
