In an effort to determine how old the cats are turning in human years today, we've turned toward the almighty WWW to find some resources:1. This site suggests that the cats are turning 28 today. Does that mean they're the oldest individuals in our household until our summer birthdays arrive??
2. This cat age calculator says they're 29.
3. And this site suggests they are 25.
Basically I think we can assume that the cats are now about our age. That's a little weird. Aspen still sleeps like a teenager. Sara's grandma's birthday is coming up very shortly and she will be 88 - that is 18 in cat years (use this site to convert from human to cat years). Impressive.
We will be celebrating tonight and there are bound to be photos taken. Stay posted. Oh and an early meow of gratitude to Uncle Brian for his birthday wishes posted to the blog.

Aspen & Millie, may your birthday be filled with catnip and fresh fish! If the sun is out, chase a prism reflection for me. And if you really are 28, well then, start acting like you're the ones with control over the household with your seniority...oh wait, you already do. Happy happy!
Love, j*net
Sorry, I forgot to send my present: http://bertc.com/uselessCat.htm
Happy Birthday!
Jeanette - that is highly entertaining! Sadly (for them) the cats only dream of being so close to a mouse. At least for now...
Ah well, looks like a feather toy will have to do as the birthday entertainment. Perhaps on another birthday a mouse will show up. Looks like you had a good time and the cats ate well. So glad you are such loving parents!
